In addition to funding projects led by others, we develop our own nonprofit initiatives to address unmet needs we've discovered in the course of our work. We are currently running two education-focused projects in Ukraine.

ENGin provides free, high-quality speaking practice to English learners in Ukraine while offering English speakers all over the world a flexible and rewarding volunteer opportunity. The peer-to--peer program pairs learners and volunteers for weekly online speaking sessions, matching them based on interests. ENGin reaches ~500 high school and college-age students and volunteers.

UGS Jr. is a pilot initiative launched in partnership with Ukraine Global Scholars. The program offers a small group of high-potential Ukrainian students from modest backgrounds for a yearlong mentoring experience. UGS Jr. aims to broaden participants' thinking, help them develop clear goals, and support them in implementing growth plans to achieve these goals.
